Saw the new Bond trailer. Can't wait til it comes out.
There's been a rumor that Amy Winehouse won't be doing the Bond theme.
Too bad.
Here's what it would have looked like if she did it for Casino Royale.

C U N ext T uesday
It all started with the word CUNT.
Atonement is one of those movies that truly affected me.
I didn't cry nor was I horrified. After watching it I just felt so bad for the Brionie. The guilt and the pain that she lived through must have been so inconceivable. It's easy for us to tuck away our sins and not think of the consequences, but the ghosts of our actions will always haunt us.
I highly highly recommend this movie. Definitely an Oscar winner. Even Sam liked it and he thought it was going to be one of those chick flicks.

The Virgin Queen
I always found Queen Elizabeth the First to be one of the most fascinating people in history. She gave up happiness, love, and marriage in order to serve her people. So when a special friend invited me to watch Elizabeth: The Golden Age, I didn't give it a second thought. The trailer looked interesting anyway.
But sadly, Cate Blanchett's superb acting can only do so much. The movie was B-O-R-I-N-G. So boring that the people below us started to nod off. It was also chock full of historical inaccuracies. Walter Raleigh in love with Elizabeth...
WTF?!?!
If you really want the most accurate depiction of the life of Elizabeth I, try Helen Mirren's Elizabeth I. It's fantastic.
Now as long as we are on the subject of Elizabeth and Helen Mirren, her performance in The Queen, for which she won an Oscar was just stellar. It really humanized the the current Queen and I began to sympathize with her. She really didn't plan Princess Diana's death. That idea is absurd. Anyway, go watch The Queen, its a fantastic movie!
When I become Queen, I'll wear Chanel suits and Oscar de la Renta. :P

Hopelessly Romantic
Yes. I'm guilty like *most* filipinos out there. We're all hopeless romantics and we just love love love romantic comedies.

I finally got to watch My Sassy Girl which my friend R had been raving about for so long. Thanks to crunchyroll, you can watch most of your favorite Koreanovelas and Asian movies. They even have Pinoy movies too!
Watch My Sassy Girl. Now!
I've now moved on to Lovers in Paris...Man! I think these Koreans are Filipinos except whiter...and they don't feel the need to have a song and dance number in all of their movies.

My Girlfriend(s)
I would like to pay homage to the women in my life who first taught me about the importance of fasyon...of Manolos...of Jimmy Choo. They introduced me to Dolce and Gabbana and to Valentino, and Chanel. They opened my eyes to the legendary Birkin and it was because of them that I discovered the cosmopolitan. More than that, they encouraged me to find my true self. I couldn't have survived high school without them. Because I loved and still love them...
Please say Hello! to Cary, Charlotte, Samantha, and Miranda my eternal idols.

Sex and the City will hit the silver screen very very soon.
I just love the final scene of the series...
"...but the most exciting, challenging, and significant relationship of all is the one you have with yourself..."
Can't wait 'til the movie comes out!

Pop! Goes My Heart!
I just finished watching Music and Lyrics. I just loved it. So What? I'm a sucker for romantic comedies especially if Hugh Grant is in them. He's toooo delicious. I just loved the songs. The 80's song is hilarious! I remember dancing to tunes like these when I was six years old...
...I said I wasn't gonna lose my head but then Pop! Goes my Heart!...hahahaha I already put it on my ipod!
The thing that surprised most about the movie was that Hugh Grant can sing. I just fell in love with the ballad/ love song...
..All I wanna do is find a way back into love...
I know. I know. I'm Corny.
K****...listen to the ending... :)

To Live...
I have a penchant for foreign films. Particularly Asian films. I try to compare and contrast cultures through movies and try to see certain similarities and differences. To Live is a Chinese film directed by Zhang Yimou and starring the beautiful Gong Li. The story centers on the life and trials of a family during China's turbulent history. It spans four decades of hardship, joy, pain, loathing...four decades of LIFE. To Live is a lesson on the importance of life and how hope should never be extinguished. Value your Life.
(Gong Li is Totally Hot! But not in the movie though.)

My dearest coworker Jackie O. gave birth on Saturday night to a 9lbs baby. That's a big baby to fit through a vagina ( I think.) I haven't visited her yet. I hope that the child looks good or else I'll have to pretend that it does. You guys know what I'm talking about. Everyone's seen an UGLY baby before and had to pretend that it looked good just to please the mother. I just HOPE I don't have to do that.

Apparently, yours truly is up for a promotion. That means this equation:
Higher Salary = More money = More LV
Hopefully I do get it. I'll keep my fingers crossed. I even lit a candle at Church. Hey, it can't hurt right?!?!
Ciao! BTW, Feel free to email me at JHVRothschild@gmail.com for any rhyme, reason, whatever it is. Just email me if you want. Toodles!
